Superare i propri limiti è una delle prerogative dell’essere umano. Nel lavoro del grafico, questo accade principalmente a livello temporale. Le nottate passate per consegnare i progetti sono all’ordine del giorno. Si è voluto riproporre questo aspetto al contempo amato e odiato dai progettisti: lavorare di notte, in tipografia, causa consegna imminente.

Un workshop che è cominciato alle cinque, con un The molto inglese ed altrettante delizie. Poi la notizia improvvisa: c’è un lavoro dell’ultimo minuto, non c’è un attimo da perdere. Deadline, mezzanotte meno quattro minuti. I partecipanti si dimostrano all’altezza, come quel 23.56, l’altezza tipografica dei caratteri che utilizzano per realizzare le loro composizioni.

Overcoming your limits is one of the prerogatives of being human. In the work of the designer, this happens mainly at a temporal level. The nights spent to deliver projects are commonplace. We wanted to re-propose this aspect, at the same time loved and hated by the designers: working at night, in printing, due to imminent delivery.

A workshop that began at 5pm, with a very English Tea and many delights. Then the sudden news: there is a last minute job, there’s not a moment to lose. Deadline, four minute to midnight. The participants have shown that they are equal to the challenge, like that 23.56, the typographic height of the characters they use to make their compositions.
