This is my proposal made for the contest for the realization of the new IRO logo.

IRO
The International Search Rescue Dog Organisation (IRO) is the worldwide representation for 123 national search and rescue dog organisations from 43 countries on all continents. As an umbrella organisation, it provides the framework, within which its members can realise their potential, by organising testing events, courses and other events for the disciplines rubble search, area search, tracking, water rescue, avalanche search and mantrailing. Our members reach from private dog owners wanting to train with their best friends to the highly specialised field units wanting to practise for the case of emergency.
They set standards to save lives.
They would like to target national search and rescue dog organisations worldwide, donors and partners.
The goal of the IRO was to have a new logo that diverged from the previous one for modernity and simplicity.
It required a design much more abstract than the old logo, no gradient of colors and a relationship with the dog much more visible and concrete.
So I designed a new logo that mixes the world and the compass, symbols of the internationality of IRO and its openness to the world, with the profile of the dog, a true protagonist of the scene and of the work done by IRO,
in a clean and original design.
